Planning a stall for a Bengaluru show
Bengaluru's biggest fairs put particular demands on a stall. Here is what to plan for.
Heavy exhibits at BIEC
Machinery shows mean planning for machine weight, delivery access, power and compressed air, and safe space for demonstrations. Give builders the size, weight and services of every exhibit so the design leaves room for them.
Height and structures
BIEC's halls are tall, which gives room for high branding and double-height structures where the organiser allows it. The allowed height is set by each show, so share the exhibitor manual with the builders who quote.
Aero India is different
At Aero India, exhibitors build at an air force station rather than in an exhibition hall, with chalets, outdoor displays and security procedures of their own. Ask builders specifically about their Aero India experience.
Getting the most from IMTEX and EXCON
At IMTEX and EXCON, visitors come to see machines working. A stall that puts the main machine where it can be seen from the aisle, leaves room around it for demonstrations, and keeps a quiet meeting area away from the noise usually works best. Tell builders which machines are running and which are static display.
Technology stalls at KTPO
Technology exhibitors at KTPO Whitefield usually need screens, demo counters and meeting space rather than heavy structures. A clean modular stall with good AV can be enough, and rental suppliers can often provide one.
Building for Aero India
Aero India takes place at an air force station, so exhibitors work with chalets, outdoor displays and the security procedures of a defence venue. Build schedules, access passes and material movement follow the organiser's arrangements, so choose a builder who has worked on the show before.
Questions to ask a Bengaluru builder
- Have you built machinery stalls at BIEC, and can you show photos?
- How will you handle heavy exhibits, platforms and cable routing?
- Have you worked at Aero India or KTPO before?
- Does your quote cover transport to Tumkur Road, power, compressed air and dismantling?
