Fairs that draw international exhibitors

German fairs are often the world's leading show in their industry. Hannover Messe is a major event for industrial technology, MEDICA in Düsseldorf for medical technology, Anuga in Cologne for food and drink every two years, bauma in Munich for construction machinery, and ITB Berlin for travel. Exhibitors from India attend many of them, often as part of a country pavilion.

What makes German fairs different

German fairgrounds publish detailed technical guidelines for stands, covering stand height, fire safety of materials, electrics and rigging. Stand drawings usually have to be approved before build-up, and two-storey or unusually tall stands may need structural calculations checked by an engineer. An experienced builder knows these rules and builds them into the design from the start.

Custom stand or system stand?

Many exhibitors at German fairs choose a system stand: a modular structure that a builder supplies, sets up and takes back after the show. It is quicker and costs less than a custom build, and it can still look professional with good graphics and lighting. For a flagship presence, compare it with a custom design-and-build quote.
